I’d been trying to make sense of Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) intention to vote ‘no’ on Neera Tanden’s nomination as director of the Office of Management and Budget (other than pure misogyny, which is very well could be). I live here, and it’s not a hot topic here in West Virginia – I seriously doubt 99% of the population knows who she is (other than some hazy connection to HRC in their heads), nor do they know what the OMB is/does. Manchin could easily give her a thumbs up with no political repercussions.
Then I saw this —

— and it all makes much more sense.
While it’s still very possible it’s unadulterated misogyny, or NT’s connect to HRC, following the money usually reveals a prime motivator.
